Roquetas de Mar
Roquetas de Mar is a relaxed and very Spanish resort which retains its authentic atmosphere. Spanish tourists make up the majority of visitors in the Summer, as well as all nationalities year round, making the most of the great climate.   Most accommodation is in the urbanisation; a more modern
area near the beach, which has plenty of supermarkets, shops, cafes and
tapas bars.
The long promenade runs the length of the town from the port to the nature reserve, alongside the long beach. The two mile beach is shingle and sand, and seldom gets crowded. You can choose to stay in a self catering apartment, which are often on small complexes with private pools, buying fresh produce or eating at one of the many seafood restaurants, international restaurants, or tapas bars. There are also a few large hotels in the resort with their own restaurants and facilities. |
